Greenberger earned a BFA in Painting from Massachusetts College of Art in 1978.
Recent works are small square drawings of patterned fields, comprised of words small marks, and occasionally simple objects, giving the appearance of abstraction but revealing themselves to be quite specific, and sometimes autobiographical.
He has also designed several hundred album covers.
